My Biz Idea

my-bizidea.com is a website designed by my-work-experience.com to help schools and colleges to inform and enrich the delivery of examination courses in business studies and enterprise, or simply to support students undertaking stand alone ‘mini enterprise’ projects, and is absolutely free to use.

What it does

my-bizidea will allow students to explore and shape a business idea using intuitive and interactive tools to develop business planning and understanding, market research, marketing techniques, and financial planning, then show and share their idea on a webpage.

How it works

Students are supported through six steps to plan and develop their bizidea:

Step 1 - Myself
Step 2 - Looking at existing businesses
Step 3 - Choosing my bizidea
Step 4 - My market research
Step 5 - Marketing my bizidea
Step 6 - My business finance

Each step presents the student with a number of activities, quizzes and tests, with online help and opportunities for further online research.

What it costs

It costs absolutely nothing to use the my-bizidea website. Simply go to www.my-bizidea.com and Register to get a username and password, then Sign in and start working on your bizidea. All you need to be able register is a valid email address

If you are a teacher who would like to supervise and monitor your students' progress using my-bizidea we offer you, for a small annual registration charge, the opportunity to do this through our sister website www.my-bizidea.co.uk. my-bizidea.co.uk allows you to supervise and monitor one, or more, user groups of 30 users. You can view your students' bizideas, suspend, archive and delete students from the usergroup.

Registration charges to use the my-bizidea.co.uk website are as follows:

Base registration for one usergroup of 30 users costs £20 + VAT for 12 months
Additional usergroups of 30 users may be added to the base usergroup at a further £10 + VAT per usergroup up to a maximum of 10 usergroups (up to 300 users) in total.
